Mixed media, 230x150x95cm.

On view at the phoenixathens_gallery, part of the "Fluid Boundaries" exhibition.

Curated by Kostas Prapoglou.

Sophia Savagner invokes the Tetramorph (2026) (a Byzantine iconographic term), to articulate a figure extending toward four orientations, instituting a matrix of relations between the aqueous principle and the remaining elemental constituents.

Motion traverses the expanse, establishing cadence and displacing inertia. Each vector transmits force, generating reciprocity and circulation. Water functions as a binding agent, channelling impetus that conjoins air, earth and fire within a unified schema. The narrative invites entry into a state of attunement and exchange. The visual structure of the Tetramorph sustains a sense of perpetual motion of its elements and their power to exist together in an active equilibrium.
